A Passion for Dentistry and My Patients

When I started working as a dentist in 2002, I made it my mission to offer patients gentle, friendly dental care. I resolved to treat each of them the way I like to be treated as a patient: with respect, compassion, and like a member of the family. Nothing has changed over the years, and I am committed to caring for my patients in this manner as long as I am a practicing dentist.

I love serving my patients and helping them achieve their oral health goals. Whether they come looking improve their smile, require better function for proper chewing, or are in dental pain and need relief, I am able to assist.

I am a third-generation medical professional. Starting from my grandfather and father, both physicians, through my younger sister, who’s a Dental Anesthesiologist, caring and serving runs in my blood. I believe serving is right: I am humbled to be able to care for others, and find great fulfillment in what I do.

Education is the basic foundation for any doctor. But a degree is just the beginning. To bring my patients the most advanced dental care possible, means my education is a continual process. I take over 100 hours of continuing dental courses throughout the year. My courses have covered a wide range of topics, including dental implants, various facets of general dentistry, and Invisalign® clear aligners.

Meet Dr. Jyothsna Reddy Sabalam

I love being a dentist because I enjoy getting to know my patients and educating them about their oral health care needs. I know first-hand what impact a painless dental procedure can have, so I strive to make my patients feel comfortable while being treated. In addition to their needs, I make sure that my patients get the most personalized treatment plans.

It is a true honor for me to be a part of Dr. Parikh's team which shares the same vision of treating patients as their own family members and making sure the patient receives the best dental care.

Education and Continuing Education
I began my career as a dentist in 2009 after graduating from R. V. Dental College, Bangalore, India. I practiced for 3 years before moving to the US. I then completed my DMD from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2018 with honors. I consider it my duty to serve my community and I have been actively volunteering with Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile community outreach programs.

To provide the best and updated treatments to my patients, I take numerous continuing education courses, attend conferences and be a part of study clubs. I am a certified Invisalign provider. In addition, I am also a part of several professional organizations.

Outside of Work
After living in different parts of the US, I finally decided to settle down in Folsom and it has been a great place to call it home when I am not working. I love spending time with my husband and baby girl. I enjoy hiking, traveling and trying different cuisines.

My journey in the dental field started in 2012, when I first started shadowing at a private dental practice and fell in love with different aspects of dentistry. After that experience, I confidently began to pursue a dental career in college and interned at various general dental offices, specialty practices, and community clinics. I have undertaken numerous dental leadership positions and it has been my passion to teach others what I have learned and provide voluntary service at various community organizations and charity events.



I received my Bachelors in Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior at UC Davis and received my dental education at the prestigious University of the Pacific in San Francisco. I proudly graduated from both schools with honors. I am continuously committed to provide my patients with the best possible care and do so by routinely reading the new literature and taking various continuing education courses. The best part of my job is hearing patients say that the procedure went better than they expected. I take gratification in helping patients with dental anxiety find a safe and comfortable environment where they can discuss their needs and receive the care they deserve. I also take pleasure in giving my patients a smile they can confidently wear, educating my patients about the importance of preventative care, and making my community better appreciate the value of excellent oral health. What I love about our team is our focus and dedication in creating an excellent patient experience and our commitment to learn, grow, and become better providers everyday.



In my free time, I love hiking, skiing, cooking new recipes, and spending quality time with family and friends. I also take pleasure in designing moments of happiness with my husband and are currently looking to add a cute fur baby to our family.
